Frequently Asked Questions
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on practice that supports your nervous system and your body’s natural ability to heal and rebalance.
What happens during a session?
You’ll lie fully clothed in a comfortable, quiet space. Using light touch, I listen to your body and support areas of tension so they can soften and release.
Do I need to do anything?
No. Your only role is to rest. Some people feel deep relaxation; others notice subtle sensations or emotional shifts. Each experience is unique.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows you to relax fully.
How many sessions will I need? This depends on your individual needs. Some feel a shift after one session, while others choose ongoing support for deeper integration.
What can it help with?
CST may support stress relief, headaches, chronic pain, fatigue, emotional overwhelm, and general nervous system regulation. Because of the gentle touch CST can be used at all stages of life, from newborn to palliative care.
Is Craniosacral Therapy suitable for babies?
Yes. Craniosacral Therapy is extremely gentle and can be supportive for babies, particularly following birth. It may help with settling, sleep, feeding challenges, or general regulation. Sessions are calm, nurturing, and always adapted to your baby’s needs. If you have specific concerns, we can discuss whether it feels appropriate for your little one.
Do sessions have to be in person?
While an initial in-person session can be helpful, sessions can also be offered remotely and are often experienced as equally powerful.
Is Craniosacral Therapy safe?
It is a very gentle approach and suitable for most people. If you have a specific health concern, we can discuss whether it feels right for you.
Is this a replacement for medical care?
No. Craniosacral Therapy is a complementary practice and works alongside, not in place of, medical treatment.
